I managed a team of 3 Supervisors and 12 Receptionists. The front office department consists of a 24-hour reception, Hamilton Island switchboard and emergency contact, as well as alarm and emergency response procedures for the island.

I managed a team consisting of two Supervisors and seven staff members in the logistics and operations of the Island’s laundry. I successfully managed this department after a fire destroyed the hotel’s major laundry contractor, as well as a quarter of the island’s linen pool. My responsibility involved the procurement of new linen, and sourcing of a new laundry contractor while ensuring ‘business as usual’ for all hotel services. In this role I controlled stock-takes, capex and monthly purchasing aswell as conducted EOM reports with the Executive Assistant Manager.

Hamilton Island

Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, I was responsible for overseeing 17 staff, making up the concierge and porters department, Resort Duty Managers and Assistant Guest Services Manager. I was the first point of contact for all guest complaints, conflict resolution and any hotel emergencies.
