I am grateful to all those kind people who give wise words, encouragement, and advice to newbies. When preparing for my first semester, everybody who heard I was beginning LMC's welding program was extremely supportive. I don't think I paid full price for one single piece of needed equipment, some student discounts were up to 40% and even when I decided to buy my own welding machine I was granted a discount. I was slightly nervous in the beginning, but it has been such a welcoming experience, and I instantly fell in love with both welding and machining and jumped into many aspects of manufacturing education such as CNC, Geometry, and science, not only because of my personal interest, but also to be as well-rounded as possible. I reveled being in school for the first time, I wanted to be there every day. That time came to a close coincidentally when Covid lockdowns began, but I'm as excited as ever to continue building a career in welding starting with a fantastic foundation of knowledge and experience gained from my years of education, in my home shop, and at my place of work.
