I design, develop, implement, and maintain features of applications that the University provides to consortia supported by the NIH Common Fund. My accomplishments include:• HuBMAP and SenNet - developed application ontologies based in neo4j knowledge graphs that model workflows, consolidate configuration information, and encode configuration data with concepts from standard biomedical vocabularies.• Data Distillery - converted a prototype into a suite of scripts (Python; Shell; Docker; neo4j) that instantiate and populate knowledge graphs with information from biomedical ontologies; public biomedical references; and summarized experimental data from participating Data Coordinating Centers.

I provided informatics support for OncoHealth's telehealth and life sciences product offerings.• Supported the design of the operations (clinician-facing) component of OncoHealth’s Iris telemedicine solution. Developed ETL logic to translate information on prior medications obtained from claims data.• Developed a common set of discrete concepts that consolidated diagnoses documented across all OncoHealth applications to support exports for Real World Evidence products.

I led a multidisciplinary team of 6 data and infrastructure analysts. • Served as technical project manager and solution architect for large-scale analytics projects hosted in Rush's Azure environment (SQL Server; ADF; IoT Hub).• Developed and implemented a new operational model for Clinical Research Analytics that transformed the group from primarily an overhead cost center to a cost-recovering revenue source.• Designed, developed, and deployed custom data marts of information on Rush’s COVID-19 patient cohort to support research initiatives, including the Chicagoland Pandemic Response Commons. • Developed a replicable methodology for building data marts that conform to the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model for specific cohorts (e.g., COVID-19), based on data from Epic data warehouses. Published a guide in Epic’s user portal (UserWeb) that describes the methodology.

I built solutions to structure clinical and therapeutic data related to cancer treatment.• Designed and built components of a flexible CPOE solution (Python, iguana, lua, AWS S3) to provide Tempus genomic results in a variety of discrete formats (including JSON, CSV, and HL7 ORU) and modalities (including HL7, REST APIs, SFTP, and AWS S3). • Led the Tempus team that implemented a CPOE integration between Tempus and Rush University Medical Center. This was the first HL7 integration between a third-party lab vendor (Tempus) and the native Genomics feature of an Epic instance via the HL7 Lab Results Interface (LRI) specification.• Designed the data architecture and methodology that Tempus uses to transform information from unstructured clinical documentation (including clinical notes, pathology and radiology reports, and molecular testing results) into data structures that both model complex oncology workflows and employ concepts from standard medical vocabularies and ontologies.• Developed specifications, user documentation, and training guides for structured data curation at Tempus.

• Supported the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical applications employed at l'Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais (HUM), a national teaching hospital. Applications included OpenMRS (an open-source, Web-based EMR optimized for health systems in developing countries) and a distributed PACS configuration for remote radiology interpretation.• Produced a comprehensive, bilingual user guide for HUM's OpenMRS implementation.• Optimized clinical and operational workflows for HUM's Emergency Department, including those for managing multi-trauma incidents.

• Technical lead and solution architect for a team that developed Structured Clinical Documentation System (SCDS) toolkits--custom Epic solutions to enhance specialty clinical workflows for discrete documentation. The team developed 22 toolkits between 2009 and 2014. Innovations included SmartForm and flowsheet versions of validated instruments that automatically calculate scores.

Served as project manager, technical team leader, and liaison between HHO and the Alliance of Chicago Community Health Centers (ACCHS), the Application Service Provider.• Responsible for Heartland Heatlh Outreach (HHO) clinical applications, including MegaWest Practice Management System (PMS) and Centricity Electronic Health Records System (EHRS).• Prepared grant reports including the Uniform Data System (UDS) report for the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Annual Data Report for the HIV/AIDS Bureau.
