Focussed on providing expert knowledge on the region, suggesting story ideas, vetting scripts, arranging interviews with regional leaders and working in conjunction with the most senior editorial and managerial staff both at Aljazeera English and Aljazeera Arabic.

Served for almost two years on the UK’s National Union of Studens' Executive Committee.Member of the board of 12Represented over 5 million students across the UK - NUS is one of the largest trade union organizations in Britain and is extremely influential in shaping education policy, as well as affecting change on social and political issues. Previous executive committee members include dozens of parliamentarians, ministers and senior officials. I was specifically responsible for the NUS’ Anti-Racism/Anti-Fascism portfolio which is one of the largest equal opportunities campaigns in Britain. I was also responsible for the “Internationalism” portfolio and the NUS’ relationship with foreign and International student unions.

Consulted on issues relating to ethnic minorities in Britain. Consulted by decision makers and politicians on changes in the Middle East and their effect on the UK. Tasked with submitting policy suggestions to the Mayor of London and the Metropolitan police following the 7/7 bombings. Consulted by the Minister for Higher Education on issues relating to Muslim/Arab students.
