Temporary Sergeant position on a response group. I am responsible for a reporting line of Constables whereby I manage their welfare and ongoing investigations as well as allocating them new reports and setting investigative strategies to combat criminality. I cover a number of roles in this position which include Duty Sergeant which oversees all incidents reported over a tour of duty as well as the response group admin and assessing all crimes that are reported.I also cover the Patrol Sergeant role which requires me to attend ongoing incidents and provide supervisory overview and direction to Officers on scene. I also cover the role of the Volume Crime Unit Sergeant. This role oversees and manages the ongoing investigations where people have been arrested and are being held in Custody. I conduct Evidential Reviews based on available evidence and make decisions on whether to dispose of a matter in custody, by way of no further action, charge, out of court disposal, Police Bail or release under investigation where further investigative enquiries are needed.I am legally qualified as a Sergeant after sitting and passing the national examination required for promotion.

Police Constable in the Uniform Policing Directorate. Assigned to general duties on a Response Policing Group and am the Group's Single Point of Contact in regards to Intelligence. I respond to a variety of calls across the City in a response vehicle, or on foot patrol and provide my group with a Prisoner Handling Team capability which is on rotation with other Officers. I also provide group resilience for Custody duties if so required.I am also a Tutor Constable to new Officers arriving on Operational Group. I am responsible for their learning, development and welfare needs and ensure that they become competent, legal and safe Operators within the operational Policing environment. I am also a qualified and authorised CED Taser X2 - Specially Trained Officer (STO). I am also trained in Prison Intelligence duties (HUMINT).I also carry out the Acting Duty Sergeant role for the shift. This means that I am the first line of supervision for Officers on group and provide them with advice, guidance and support with their investigations and welfare needs. I attend incidents where supervision is required and in some cases am the Bronze Commander for incidents which may have a significant impact within the City. Incident Commander trained for Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Procedures (JESIP).I complete the administration for the duty which includes supervising Stop and Search reports to ensure that they are conducted legally and follow best practice. I review all crime reports which are created during the operational tour of duty and make suitable disposal decisions for investigations by Officers as I am a trained Evidential Review Officer as well as implementing investigative strategies for my team's investigations of reported crime.I am qualified CT Licensed Search Officer after attending the College of Policing. This course has now provided me with the skills to conduct Offensive and Defensive searches as well as open area searches.

Proactive and Reactive Intelligence work within B Division Intelligence Bureau. I was assigned to a variety of crime desks which covered Sexual offences, Fraud, Violence Against the Person, Theft, Events and Disruption offences. I conducted Surveillance and Intelligence gathering operations out in the field.My role also involved meeting with various internal departments, stakeholders and other external agencies in order to build partnerships to ensure an effective two way channel of information and intelligence was shared. I was involved with the development and corroboration of information to ensure that it may be used as actionable intelligence in targeted Operations with the view of disrupting/preventing and detecting crime in order to achieve BTP's objectives. This was achieved by using a variety of covert and overt tactics.

Frontline policing duties across London and carried out a number of Proactive Operations. Response and Neighbourhood Policing including uniformed and plain clothes duties.

Proactive and Reactive Investigations in B Division's Crime Department. Initially dealing with a broad range of offences, but then moved onto a more specific crime type. Particularly the Pickpocket Squad. Specialisms include Theft, Fraud, Cyber Crime, Open Source, Deep and Dark Net research. Intelligence Gathering. Advanced Interviewer trained. Evidence Review Officer. Surveillance. Attending court to present my cases and giving evidence in support of said cases.
