University placement year with Grundon Waste Management. My role as Environmental Assistant involves a wide range of fieldwork and office-based tasks. Fieldwork tasks range from landfill gas management systems to environmental monitoring of leachate and groundwater levels. I travel to various sites to perform specific duties in order to maintain an environmentally accepted standard of quality. I am also tasked with environmental invoicing and energy management. I am assigned to identify and correct anomalies within energy bills. This allows me to spot leaks or over estimated figures and reduce company costs.
