I began to take seriously the question of how to physically train when, as an NCO in the Marine Corps, I was given the responsibility of leading. Since Physical Education became my full time job 5 years ago I have immersed myself in continuing to answer this question. In time I've come to believe that fundamentally it is through movement and language that we manifest ourselves in and relate to reality. Accordingly I train (myself and others) and write poetry. These are my life's work, the one my profession the other my avocation.As a trainer I build myself and my trainees up through mobility and durability in order to achieve a greater measure of freedom.
