Assure that all State of California educational standards and requirements are met while assisting the president and senior vice president in defining and articulating CPC’s strategic vision while working with the executive team to supervise the implementation of the strategic plan. Assure institutional effectiveness by overseeing the self-assessment of CPC and its programs, faculty members and administrators. Evaluate the performance of department heads and coordinate CPC’s relationships with accrediting organizations. Maintain responsibility for the preparation of job descriptions of personnel under the jurisdiction of academic administration.

Oversaw all matters related to academic compliance and accreditation. Aided in the founding and start-up of CPC. Along with the CEO presented and wrote all initial proposals used to obtain investment and financing for CPC. Submitted a successful application to the Department of Homeland Security to obtain Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) approval to accept international students. Researched issues in complex civil litigation, medical malpractice, real estate and criminal law cases. Worked with the academic vice president to develop and write the initial course descriptions for all courses offered at CPC. Developed the Western Healthcare Practices and Communication (WHPC) Certificate program which has enrolled over three hundred students since 2007. Networked with local individuals to locate employment, training and internship opportunities for CPC students.

Oversaw rollout of new marketing and recruiting strategy that resulted in a 42% increase in student population of the institution over two terms while cutting instructional and administrative costs. Negotiated out of long-term lease of unnecessary space that was an institutional liability. Developed, reviewed and submitted a licensed vocational program, medical assisting program and culinary arts program to accrediting bodies for approval.

Taught physical geology

Co-founded Alere and created and implemented the Alere business model of shared marketing and recruiting. Obtained a memorandum of understanding with a fast-growing Southern California Hospital chain to provide jobs for WHPC certified nurses. Worked with legal counsel to process immigration paperwork for WHPC nurses for permanent residency, H1-B or optional practical training. Assisted with the management of the Adventist Enrollment Association (AEA) agreement to coordinate the North American Division Seventh-Day Adventist colleges and universities recruitment fair schedule. Co-founded Alere and created and implemented the Alere business model of shared marketing and recruiting. Negotiated agreements and contracts with domestic and foreign schools and agents for recruitment of elementary, high school and collegiate/university students. Planned, coordinated and organized team building workshops and organizational activities.

Academic advisor and mentor for former and current students. Developed the La Sierra University Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Certificate Program. Taught organizational behavior and managerial communication courses while organizing departmental extracurricular activities and outings to foster a corporate culture

Negotiated contracts and agreements between the University and international institutions in over thirty countries. Developed cooperative MBA programs in Korea, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan. Advised graduate program chairpersons in the development of graduate programs. Researched feasibility of potential University switch from quarter hour to semester hour institution.

Taught business language skills to non-English speaking students and professionals. Researched new methods to more effectively teach foreign students. Monitored student progress and audited student records. Marketed the English as a Second Language program to students from Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong from 2001-2003.

Taught beginning, intermediate and advanced English to non-English speaking students. Planned and coordinated student activities and accommodations for international students. Interviewed, trained and hired instructors and activity escorts.
