I had the privilege of managing Guest & Brady's Spartanburg office where the firm enjoyed continued growth during the two years I was there. In my role, gratitude was my primary objective. Where would we be without referral sources who see value in what we do, clients who trust us with the most significant transactions of their lives, and a top-flight staff who make those first two happen? Making sure they all heard me say "thank you" was always top-of-mind.In this role, I have reached out to the local real estate community to form new relationships, and have made myself available to realtors and brokers by hosting educational seminars in the office, updating them on legal issues related to real estate, and answering phone calls and emails when they encounter situations for which they need some additional guidance.

Primarily responsible for establishing firm's real estate practice, including residential and commercial closings and real estate matters related to the firm's probate and estate practice (deeds of distribution, recording of plats for divided parcels, easements, life estate deeds, etc.).

Taught Ba 301-Business Law, Ac 401-Taxation of Individuals, AC 411-Taxation of Business Entities, PL 101-Introduction to Law and Ethics, and PL 121-Torts and served in multiple additional roles, including:University Title IX Coordinator - reviewed claims of sexual abuse and/or harassment;Member, Academic Integrity Committee - heard and reviewed claims of academic cheating and plagiarism; served as substitute Chair of the Committee on occasion;Faculty Advisor, University Business Association - Student organization focused on professional development.Program Coordinator, Paralegal Studies - Prepared the curriculum and established program requirements when the University decided to offer an associate degree in Paralegal Studies; Academic Advisor to approximately 60 students seeking Business Administration degrees; andUniversity Legal Advisor - provide occasional legal advice to University Press regarding contracts and intellectual property matters.

Represented commercial property owners in assessment appeals before the Michigan Tax Tribunal and advised small business owners on various matters including entity formation, estate planning, and contracts.

General counsel to real estate brokerage firm marketing REO properties for mortgage lenders. Represented the brokerage in local hearings involving troubled or blighted properties. Held a Michigan real estate salesperson's license.
