I collaborated on the implementation of our flagship product, a highly scalable database written in C for blazing multithreaded performance. In service of that product, I built distributed communication protocols to tie the various pieces together, expanded and enhanced the Ruby and Python SDKs serving as the end users' interface with the system, and optimized system performance using stress tests.In tandem with those efforts, I independently led various projects from architectural design through implementation and testing to deployment and long-term support. I acted as the sole maintainer and owner of these projects, which enhanced our team's productivity, supported the automation of data transfers between cloud entities, and continuously monitored our production systems for service degradations.These efforts culminated in a platform-wide distributed system that would organize and direct our large cloud deployment. On the rare occasions when it was necessary, I also diagnosed errant production system, restored them to working states, and patched our software to resolve issues.
