I am a detail-oriented pragmatist with a penchant for connecting with others and interpersonal networking. Years of growing up in an expat household taught me open-mindedness and a deep respect for diverse perspectives. Having been sailing since I was a child—and the outdoors capturing my attention from even younger—now that aviation has become my career, I'm confident in calling myself a curious explorer type.I'm a commercial single-engine and multiengine pilot, certificated at ATP Flight School in Clearwater, FL. I have accrued 502.9 total hours in all combined categories including aviation training devices/simulators. As well as holding an FCC restricted radiotelephone operator's permit, I also have a great many other certifications that are not related to aviation. I have many years of experience diving and sailing, with a PADI rescue diver certification, an RYA competent crew certification, and an IYT flotilla crewman certification. I have sailed over 6,500 nautical miles as part of various crews. I have certifications through Emergency First Responder for primary and secondary first aid, adult and infant, CPR, and emergency oxygen. In my working experience, I have ventured into several fields quite successfully. I started in food service, spending about five years cooking, hosting, serving, and managing at various locations with atmospheres ranging from fast food to black tie, dining hall to poolside. This is where I developed my skill for customer satisfaction and began flexing my order and inventory management muscles.Eventually, I moved to retail and warehousing. I continued using customer service as my main skillset, while learning to use design software, how to manage home remodel projects, communicating between clientele and contractor groups, and how to operate heavy equipment in inventory management. I also developed my budding sales skills into a reliable set of capable tools. From there, I moved into marine work. I had always been interested in repair, having learned from my own automotive hobby work. I combined this with my love for being on the water, and began as an apprentice electrician and diesel repairman aboard multi-million dollar powered and sailing vessels. I fabricated structures for installing large battery systems, wired complex, pre-designed voltage regulation and transformer systems, and did routine preventative maintenance on large, multi-ton diesel marine engines such as oil changes, water pump impeller replacements, and gasket replacements.I look forward to adapting and bringing my diverse skillset to your team.
