In my most recent roles, I supervised crews to manage all aspects of construction of substations as well as asserted control over material usage and contractor man-hours to keep projects in line with budgetary restrictions. I was responsible for delivering comprehensive bid proposals for substation and transmission work as needed. I was also tasked with collaborating with management and fellow supervisors to organize operations and achieve demanding schedule targets. In these consecutive roles, I spotted NESC violations along proposed routes prior to construction as well as operated mobile cranes and moved materials to various locations to meet job schedule demands. I also shrunk knowledge gaps with ongoing training and close employee mentoring for new and less experienced team members. During this tenure, I inspected and tested lines or cables, recording and analyzing test results to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults or malfunctions. I also accessed specific service areas to string lines and install terminal boxes, auxiliary equipment, or metering appliances.My key accomplishments within these roles are following:► Inspected power lines and poles for signs of damage or wear, interference and degradation and reported findings to supervisor.► Build substations and completed proper fitting and construction according to NESC guidelines.
