I'm a mechanical engineer with a love for getting in the action and figuring things out hands on. I have lots of experience taking projects from idea to real world prototypes. I've designed products using 3D printing, machining, epoxy casting, and old school cobbling things together. I have a love for designing experiments to simulate real use cases for product validation. In my spare time when I'm not building or tinkering on a personal project I enjoy hiking, snowboarding,rock climbing and traveling.

Designed and converted a 2015 Ford Transit cargo van into a fully functional off-grid house, including shower, oven, bathroom, shower, solar electrical system, diesel and gasoline cabin heating.This project was a great design challenge as it required a huge amount of research in a wide variety of topics. Then that knowledge had to be applied to the actual building process. Any troubleshooting had to be dealt with immediately and efficiently as any problems had a very real effect on everyday life.Once the van was completed, the business has turned into an informative blog to help others with van life (lifestyle, troubleshooting, modifications etc). In addition to the blog, I also offer engineering consultations, layout planning, and renderings.
