Install and maintain network equipment

Responsible for all phases of installation/testing and operation of computerized equipment at Point-of-Service Retail Postal Outlets, including:• Review of financial data for the retail units - ensuring the unit is financially balanced prior to and after the installation of new retail equipment.• Serve as the Customer Representative with Contractors - establishing locations for unit installations and the number of units to be installed at each site.

Positions held and responsibilities include: 2/00 – 10/2000 RETAIL ACCEPTANCE FACILITATOR

Managed personnel and the overall operations of this large retail and delivery unit with responsibilities including:• Made daily assignments for personnel - responding to the needs of the unit and effective service for our customers - ensuring the unit operated within established budget perimeters.• P&L responsibilities; accounting for all operation hours and expenses; performed unit and clerk audits. • Represented the Postal Service at Step 1 Grievance Meetings with the authority to resolve all grievances filed against the employer by different labor unions.• Provided inventory controls - ordered and replenished the stamps and accountable papers for this large retail unit.Progressed to the above positions from initial Carrier position at the Springfield, VA Office (7/80 - 1093).
