My current role at Scots Bearings is Internal Sales and my main duties are dealing with customer enquiries, email phone and face to face, placing orders, dealing with suppliers, ensuring optimum delivery and service to customers at all times. We operate in a highly flexible environment at Scots Bearings and this means I can be doing deliveries, working in the warehouse and visiting customers on any given day.I also do daily checks of consignment stock which I replenish at various sites.

Glenrothes

My first job within Brammer was as a van driver/internal sales. I delivered all around the region and to our local Insite. I would be in the office for a large part of the afternoon doing enquiries, dealing with cash sale customers and also doing the daily stock takes.I moved on from this role to Assistant Manager of the Glenrothes branch where I undertook more responsibilities relating to the business side, profit and loss, sales figures/targets, Health and Safety amongst other tasks. I personally looked after a very large key account with 2 separate sites within the branches area. One site had an Insite and another had a large supply of Vendor Managed Stock which were both my responsibility to manage.

Primary role initially was to cut steel beams to size using industrial band and circular saw. We were required to read complex drawings and calculate cuts from lengths and stack on pallets.Use of overhead crane for moving steel and loading lorries.I also assisted in Foreman duties which involved distributing jobs between teams of saw operators, unloading and checking of large deliveries and dealing with customers.

Main job role was picking internal parts of cash machines from within store and delivering to main line ready for assembly. I also got involved in stock movement around the store, consolidation and quality checks on random parts.I was also involved in the packing of spares kits for shipment around the world.
