As a software engineer at Kythera Space Solutions, I work on a wide array of development tasks across projects and environments. Working predominantly in C++ and Python, I have developed a variety of features for our satellite optimization and planning software based on client needs. I have led the creation and management of a PostgreSQL database, liaising with various stakeholders to ensure proper representation of data requirements and needs. I have also participated heavily in early discussions with clients, helping to unpack required software specifications and acting as point person for subsequent documentation efforts.In addition to my software engineering role, I am pursuing a master's degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology at Georgetown University, where I focus on the intersections of tech and society. During this time, I have had the opportunity to research and write about various technologies, and have been able to pursue fellowships to further build up my foundation of knowledge. As a Fritz Fellow, I worked under renowned professors in the Foo Law Lab, developing a Python script to analyze the websites of US county election officials and publishing our findings on the Center for Democracy and Technology website. I also worked with Beyond the Screen, writing a series of literature reviews on the harms of misinformation and disinformation in social media ecosystems on national security, focusing on conspiracy theories, deepfakes, and astroturfing campaigns. I am passionate about using my technical and analytical skills to address the unique challenges of the digital age.
