As a software engineer at Kythera Space Solutions, I work on a wide array of development tasks across projects and environments. Working predominantly in C++ and Python, I have developed a variety of features for our satellite optimization and planning software based on client needs. I have led the creation and management of a PostgreSQL database, liaising with various stakeholders to ensure proper representation of data requirements and needs. I have also participated heavily in early discussions with clients, helping to unpack required software specifications and acting as point person for subsequent documentation efforts. In addition to my software engineering role, I am pursuing a master's degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology at Georgetown University, where I focus on the intersections of tech and society. During this time, I have had the opportunity to research and write about various technologies, and have been able to pursue fellowships to further build up my foundation of knowledge. As a Fritz Fellow, I worked under renowned professors in the Foo Law Lab, developing a Python script to analyze the websites of US county election officials and publishing our findings on the Center for Democracy and Technology website. I also worked with Beyond the Screen, writing a series of literature reviews on the harms of misinformation and disinformation in social media ecosystems on national security, focusing on conspiracy theories, deepfakes, and astroturfing campaigns. I am passionate about using my technical and analytical skills to address the unique challenges of the digital age.
