• Handle workers compensation claims of moderate to high exposure while reviewing 180+ pending claims.• Confirm coverage on all new claims; set adequate reserves; contact employer/employee/medical provider; confirm Medicare and State filing requirements; keep file up-to-date throughout the duration of the claim; and close claim in a timely manner. • Investigate compensability on questionable claims and handle litigated claims including negotiations of permanent partial disability settlements.• Complete and submit case summary reports to employers, brokers, and customer service executives. Present claims in detail and answer any questions that there may be regarding the claim. • Experience handling claims in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Utah, and Louisiana jurisdictions.
