In addition to my previous duties, developed a system to compare the proposed SMOG report against the historical trends and actual results, resulting in a more reasonable determination of the proved financial expectations.

In addition to my previous duties, worked with the Financial Planning and Analysis Group (FP&A) to improve the tracking of the cost modeling methods documented against the actual results showing in the Business Unit financial reporting. Also worked with FP&A to modify the methods used for SMOG reporting.

Worked at the corporate level to coordinate the processes involved with reporting the company’s reserves in the annual 10-K report. Worked with PEEP as the economics engine to calculate the reserves volumes. The oil and gas reserves balances and associated change records were loaded into a PetroLook database. The corporation reported reserves based PRMS standards. Developed a system using Excel spreadsheets to check that the change records were valid before they were loaded into the database, minimizing problems with the data loading. Adjusted the system in 2009 when the SEC adopted new reporting standards.

Worked as a planning engineer at the Elk Hills Unit. Served on both a Reservoir Management Team and as support for the Business Unit Planning Lead in handling the financial requests from the corporation to the petrotechs. Worked on reserves reporting, capital planning, production outlooks, AFE writing, and financial targets.
