Experienced artisan with a background in the field of design and architectural woodwork.After gaining a foundation in the building and remodling trades I traveled to Europe ( a Grand Tour spanning several years) and sought training and employment as a carver in Britain, and as a gilder in Italy. In the early 80's I established J.W.Evans & Co., hired/trained employees and focused on ornamental trim and cabinetry in high end custom homes. I presently work as a solo artisan specializing in unique cabinetry, fireplace mantels, architectural carving, etc. I have worked extensively in the US, the UK, France, the mideast and Italy.Specialties: The design and fabrication of unique fireplace mantels, cabinetry, furniture.
