One of five Lead JCTFs involved in planning, evaluating and delivering teaching for medical students at Bart's and The London Medical School (QMUL). This will involve preparing weekly teaching sessions based on the Bart's curriculum, as well as managing a team of JCTFs and designing new materials and workshops. In my first year I was a lead for the third year students, and now as a FY2 I am a lead for fifth year student teaching.

Medic Mentor is a social enterprise run by doctors and medical students to help school students get into medical school and succeed as medical students and doctor in the future. The focus is on widening access, providing support and helping students with aspects of their applications that are not covered at school.As the Leadership Scholar I organised eight national 'Insight Into Medicine' conferences, for aspiring medical students, parents, and teachers. I planned programmes, recruited speakers, and managed conference teams, as well as running individual conferences and delivering presentations myself. Presenting on the Masterclass course involves communicating, in a relatable and simple manner, concepts such as biomedical ethics, NHS structure, and audit and quality improvement.

Partner organisations include 'Learn to Lead' along with three iconic world leadership centres: The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst; The Møller Centre for Continuing Education, Churchill College, University of Cambridge; and The British Council.Selected as one of 24 fellows, as part of a highly competitive and selective application and interview process.Covered three, three day residential 'modules' looking at the practice and theory of leadership, influence, negotiation, coaching, self-management & branding, among other topics.

Head of recruitment 2014/15 - Working with and managing a team of ~30 Army staff and Officer Cadets (OCdts) to plan and deliver a dynamic and highly successful recruitment season over three months where 284 new OCdts (all university students) were engaged and recruited into the ULOTC. Managed the following departments (medical, finance, admin, introduction evenings, selection weekend and fresher's fairs), and also held the role as head of introduction evenings, which I planned and ran (these were attended by record numbers of students, and post-event feedback was incredibly positive).Platoon Commander 2014/15 - Responsible for the training, development and management of a platoon of roughly 30 junior OCdts. Concentrated on personal and team development within the platoon, administration, training and mentoring. I was privileged to be the only platoon commander that was selected this year without having commissioned as an Officer in the British Army. Platoon Sergeant 2013/14 - The second-in-command of the platoon. Responsible for training, discipline and administration of a platoon of roughly 30 junior officer cadets. Coordinating logistics for the platoon in terms of food, water and equipment while on exercise.

Leading groups from a variety of backgrounds and of varying sizes on campus tours.Working at and facilitating community engagement and outreach events; open days, workshops and visits.Working with young people, people with learning difficulties or physical disabilities and generally people from a range of different cultures and backgrounds.

Mentoring a group of 10 first year medical students to help them in making the transition to university life.Running weekly case-based tutoring sessions for the students, to help them get to grips with key topics.Talking to students about any pastoral, personal or academic issues.
