CurrentJames W. Feild is the Chief Development Officer for Cienda Partners, a real estate development and investment firm based in Dallas with specialized expertise in urban redevelopment within the southeast and southwest United States. James is currently leading the development of Oak Farms, a mixed-use urban master planned live/work/play/stay destination in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas.Cienda will transform the site into a walkable, mixed-use district with unrivaled multi-modal access to downtown Dallas and an enlivened network of recreational amenities, park space, and trail systems along the Trinity River.Prior to joining Cienda, James was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he served as President of Banc of America Community Development Corporation (BOACDC), a for-profit, public-purpose real estate company that has developed or redeveloped more than 35,000 units of affordable and mixed-income housing across the United States.Throughout his career, James has directed significant community development initiatives, structuring and closing $4+ billion of LIHTC investments and $2+ billion in community development debt originations. James developed the first proprietary Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Fund, the National Community Investment Fund, and the Raza Development Fund. He also developed and implemented the bank’s CDFI initiative, investing more than $100 million and qualifying for more than $5 million in Bank Enterprise Awards. James is a founding member and the board chair of the Raza Development Fund, chair of the Urban Land Institute Affordable Workforce Housing Council, and a board member of the Community Development Trust. James graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington where he majored in business with a focus in real estate.
