Interplex PMP - Business Development ManagerFully responsible for the following up of new business opportunities and setting up meetings. Planning and preparing presentations for existing development project, potential projects and internal review and knowledge sharing. Communicating new product developments to prospective customers. Providing Senior Management with project feedback. Working closely with the NPI ( New Product Introduction ) team through phases of introduction into production.Initial review of all new rfq's with the sales estimator and advise on best process flow, which includes product design, tooling requirements, production requirements ( CAPEX & labour) & any re-design for manufacturability where required.Negotiating prices and deliverables with sub contractors and raw material suppliers Sales quote sign off prior to being submitted to customer.Global Customer and Supplier visits to discuss existing and potential projects.

Interplex PMP - Project Manager Responsible for all project issues, lead the planning and implementation of project, facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables. Define project tasks and resource requirements, develop full scale project plans, assemble and coordinate project staff.Work in conjunction with Engineering manager on managing project budget. Manage project resource allocation, plan and schedule project timelines, track project deliverables. Provide direction and support to Engineering and Quality teams.Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all Project members.Constant interaction with Interplex PMP toolmakers and sub-contractors throughout entirety of the project from initial concepts to finalized production validation.Key competencies acquired from PM and BD role include – critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, communication skills, influencing and leading, delegation, teamwork, negotiation.

Interplex PMP - Medical Manufacturing Manager (temp role)Responsible for setting up production in newly built cleanroom and set-up of Cory Project. This entailed all tooling and staffing requirements as well as control of all component drawings and documentation.

Interplex PMP - Senior Tool Design Engineer Complete Design of High Speed stamping & Insert Mould tools for varioud industries such as Automotive, Medical Industries and Telecoms industries. This entailed constant interaction with the toolmakers and Customers throughout the design and manufacture of the tools. I design the tooling required from the initial customer’s component model/drawing through to production. After receiving the Customers drawing I will liaise with the customer and redesign the component where necessary to achieve a product that is easily manufactured ( Design for Manufacture ). During the design process I also produce assembly drawings, detail drawings, inspection layouts, plating line drawings and any packaging drawings if required. During the assembly of the progression tools I am involved with the de-bugging and grooming of the tools and any modifications that the tools may require. The purchasing of materials for the particular project including raw materials for the project is also required.

I served a 4 year apprenticeship as a shipbuilding draughtsman developing skills in all aspects of ship design i.e. design, steelwork, outfit and electrical work. I was responsible for producing AutoCAD drawings for various design and conversion projects i.e. Supply vessel conversion to standby safety duties. Standby vessel upgrade from 300 – 400. I was also required to carry out surveys on various vessels as well as Offshore trials.
