I am a co-lecturer for LA122/222, Hydrology for Planners, a course originated by Luna Leopold at UC Berkeley in the 1970s. The course is offered spring semester every other year and is currently run by Professor Mathais Kondolf, PhD. I teach much of the hydrology section of the class alongside Dr. Kondolf.Staff.

As an intern for Rothberg Tamburini & Winsor (RTW), James designed, constructed, and monitored a multi-process water treatment pilot plant for the City of Fort Lupton, Colorado. James assembled the pilot plant, coordinated with vendors to install microfiltration and granular activated carbon unit processes, and collected and analyzed water samples for.

As an intern for the City of St. Louis Water Division, James worked at the Howard Bend Plant for drinking water treatment. Howard Bend is capable of pumping 236 million gallons of water per day from the Missouri River and contains 20 filters using rapid sand filtration. James assisted with daily water quality analyses and assisted with filter performance.
