• Actively prospect, network and research new client account base, recognizing this is the most significant activity which insures sales success • Set annual tonnage/profitability goals with immediate sales supervisor • Service and study existing suppliers, offering innovative solutions to increase tonnage & profitability• Plan and organize daily work schedule to include both new sales efforts and existing account maintenance and expansion• Propose and follow through with equipment sale/lease proposals for both new accounts and existing clients to improve freight & labor efficiency and profitability as well as customer satisfaction• Answer RFP proposals as necessary• Answer blue bird e mails and phone calls within 2-business days of initial contact• Keep management informed of progress by keeping open communication via e-mail, phone calls, or face to face meetings• Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information• Follow up with clients/suppliers in a timely manner• Educate customers about terminology, and the recycling business in order to gain trust and credibility • Recommend changes in service or equipment by evaluating results and competitive developments• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations to clients and or management• Provide accurate, honest information to suppliers and always conduct yourself and represent the company with the utmost professionalism• Set up all necessary DR paperwork prior to first service at new accounts• Track and review all account activity on the DR to ensure profitability on each transaction, utilizing the M & M approach
