This position is a continuation of the previous job but now with much greater reach in training the entire Department of Defense. Trained the tactical methods of Influence Operations and how these methods can affect the United States' strategically. Working at the Joint Readiness Training Center as the director of Joint Influence (Info.) Ops I was responsible for training the entire Department of Defense's deployable units in Influence Operations. These units spend between 15-50 million each month deploying their soldiers, sailors, and marines and their equipment to Fort Polk, Louisiana from around the country and the world. My job was to train these 4.500 person units in the art of Influence Ops in the combat zone. As the director of Operations I managed several departments, Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs, Public Affairs and was responsible for Strategic Communications, Knowledge Management and other key aspects of the job. All in all, I was in the directors position for about 40 rotations which prepared nearly 200,000 of America's finest for combat operations. During these training rotations I was responsible for managing the managers in all aspects of training. Training during these rotations lasted about one month, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Influence (information) Operations consist of targeting individuals and groups of persons with messaging (advertising) that would influence their behavior. The methods used included print media, digital media, broadcast media, and face-to-face engagements as a means to change behaviors of individuals and groups. These operations are coordinated with the other participants in the area of operations to include: DOD, CIA, USAID, Dept. of State and others. Coordination would de-conflict competing messages and campaigns that may be running in the theater of operations and prevent information fratricide. More can be explained in a personal conversation.

In this position I was responsible for training the leadership of a 4,500 person combat unit in the art of messaging to individuals or groups using psychological and physical means. I was responsible for creating the campaign plan for the brigade on how to influence the behaviors of peoples in a country that the US Forces would be fighting in. I trained the leadership in how to conduct negotiations that crossed cultural and language barriers. I trained them in the cultural norms that would enable our leaders to be more successful in meetings at all levels of society. I trained the leadership in how and when to send the right type of message to individuals and groups to modify behaviors. I trained the leadership in gaining the trust of the local leaders and the population through words and deeds. I taught the leadership in how to maintain their proper etiquette in some of the most trying negotiations in order to gain a successful outcome. I trained the leadership in how to analyze the human terrain, through intelligence gathering, to identify the true power brokers at each level of society. These are examples of the things that I was responsible for. My resume has bullets that outline some of my additional accomplishments.

Managing a company of 120 personnel with the task of supporting 11 agencies in the South East Region of the United States with 3,000 packed parachutes weekly. This position brought many challenges to include managing the packing requirement with as little as 53% of the authorized workforce; influencing the workforce's behavior on and off duty; eradicating drug use in a historically high drug use environment; managing 22 million dollars in equipment; managing the safety of personnel during high risk parachute jump operations; planning upgrades to facilities for new parachute system introduction to the force; strategic placement personnel management and budget management. See posted resume for list of accomplishments.

Managed a supply company that supported a 4.500 person brigade combat team. This command entailed managing the maintenance, and use of 167 vehicles and rolling stock; the behavior of 120 personnel behavior and performance on and off duty; supporting with fuel, lubricants, parts, water production and distribution, ammunition handling and distribution and a transportation platoon. This was a challenging management position because the unit had a morale problem due to multiple deployments to Kuwait prior to my arrival. I took over as commander in Kuwait and immediately undertook the challenge of locating property that was disbursed over 5 property books, across the battlefield and at home station (Georgia). This company had 45 Million dollars worth of equipment and a warehouse that processed 100 Million is parts and equipment annually. This equipment was tracked and inventoried at a rate of 10% monthly to ensure proper accountability. What is not known by many is that as commander of a company I was responsible for the accountability of all 45 Million in equipment when changing command with the next commander. I am proud to say that at my change of command inventory I was not charged in the loss of any equipment. See my posted resume to view other accomplishments.
Activities and Societies: Ranger Challenge (4 years), Pershing Riffles (2 Years), Color Guard (4 Years) My focus was on two things.
