As part of my degree I undertook a placement at a startup company in London. This was a role split 50/50 between Operations and Finance. This role required good communication skills with colleagues, clients and suppliers as well as good organisational skills with balancing my workload between two departments. I developed my Excel abilities during my time at Elvie, as well as being accustom to using Xero.Key tasks undertook during Role:• Management Accounts and KPI reporting using Excel and Xero• Daily bank reconciliations and payment runs• Managing account receivables – credit control• Manipulate Key Account, sales and stock data, creating reports to keep the team correctly updated• Responsibility for the purchase ledger, coding invoices within the accounting system• Responsibility for the inventory, manage B2B orders from London and manage London stock while gaining exposure to forecasting and production planning
