I have been involved in Safety as a profession for my entire adult life. I started out in the late 1980’s working as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force where flight line and aviation safety was a part of everything I did but the thing that got me started down this road was when I took a minor role in an incident investigation. The investigation team wouldn’t let me do much due to my age and lack of experience at the time but I got a taste of how a safety incident investigation team works. Twenty years later, after working in multiple positions for the Air Force, I became a full time Safety and Environmental Manager. I held this position for the last five years of my military career and when I transitioned out of the service, I moved into a full time roll as a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager working for Securaplane Technologies. Unfortunately due to company restructuring because of Covid-19 I was laid-off. Having worked as a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for over 12 years I am well acquainted with federal, state and local laws and I am ready to take on new challenges in the ever changing world of environmental protection.
