These efforts have been recognized with multiple teaching awards, including Auburn University's prestigious Gerald and Emily Leischuck Endowed Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Alumni Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award, and the Harbert College's Lowder and McCartney teaching awardsMy scholarly research focuses on how task timing influences judgment, decision-making, and task performance in accounting. I have received research grants from the Center for Audit Quality and PwC and served as a member of a AAA Auditing Section PCAOB Research Synthesis Team. My work has been published in top academic and professional journals, including Accounting, Organizations & Society, Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Journal of Accounting Literature, Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Management Accounting Research, Journal of Accountancy, and The CPA Journal. I have also developed and published multiple educational accounting cases in Issues in Accounting Education and the Journal of Accounting Education, two of which have been recognized with national case awards.
