As a student at the University of North Texas, I have had a lot of ups and downs trying to navigate the task of school and life. As of right now, I am currently maintaining a 3.8 GPA while progressing towards a bachelor's degree in accounting. It has been rough getting to this point, going through high school, it was difficult to juggle my classes, clubs, as well as extracurricular activities. I was involved in my schools science club and botanist club and I was part of the student leadership team at my church after school. Through all of that, I learned how to properly utilize my time in an efficient fashion. The payoff for doing all these activities resulted in satisfaction of accomplishment and meaning. It provided me a sense of pride in myself and the people that I represented in my clubs and church. Later on in high school, I started working at a golf course while also maintaining those extra activities. It was difficult, but I learned the art of persistence, that with enough elbow grease and effort, what feels impossible is actually very possible. From these experiences, I learned how to work efficiently and work on what is the top priority without being bogged down by a large load of work. This has been a huge help to my life by helping to relieve unnecessary stress while not being to carefree with my responsibilities. In my experience, it is also valuable to take a break, the world's problems can't be solved in a day and neither can mine, this doesn't mean to slack off but to keep things in perspective. I have truly learned a lot in my short life and hope to learn quite a lot more.
