Short term volatility trader focused on listed derivatives that gear performance and limit downside utilizing strategies such as calendar spreads, verticals and butterflies. Product focus is top down and largely in macro, energy and disruptive tech.

Global Equities-Ran a proprietary trading book($25mn) of various assets including commodities, stocks, and Equity Derivatives in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, and Europe. My multi strategy includes long/short position trading, short term momentum, macro, and international arbitrage with a key focus on metals, mining companies and energy.

Upon joining the firm I was extensively involved in building the business from the ground up with the principals of the firm. In addition to building and managing the New York office of 13 traders($100mn), I actively traded an international proprietary trading book that includes equities, foreign exchange, futures, listed derivatives and commodities. My multi strategy includes long/short position trading, short term momentum, macro, and international arbitrage. Other responsibilities included new PM screening and head of compliance of the New York office.

First year at firm, was responsible for market making and running the principal trading book in Asia and the emerging markets. In 2003 was promoted to run a global equity trading book focused on absolute performance. Worked closely with key client and salesforce to generate ideas that suited our customers’ needs. Other responsibilities included compliance duties for products in N.Y. as principal.

Responsible for principal trading and market making of listed derivatives and equities in Asia and over 400 closed-end funds. In collaboration with senior analysts and sales, constructed tactics and procedures to inform clients of breaking corporate and economic news that would affect their investments. Other responsibilities included compliance duties in N.Y. as principal.

I joined Barings middle office in 1992, to support the trading desk. In 1995 ING purchased the firm and offered me a position to be a trading assistant. Played a key role in streamlining the trade lifecycle within first year at firm. By 1996 I was given full trading responsibilities in Asia and CEF’s ($150mn).Worked closely with key client and sales force to generate ideas that suited our customers’ needs.
