Planet4Health is a Horizon Europe funded research project that brings together 17 universities, public institutions and SMEs from across Europe and South Africa to develop and deploy early warning systems to mitigate the impact of environmental degradation on human and animal health. I am a co-project manager and focal point for the Planetary Health cluster of Horizon Europe funded projects.

I a program officer, delivering programming for CGS Chapters, members and young people.

Brooks Hannas & Partners is a technical environmental consultancy based in Belgrade, Serbia, and working across SEE. I am engaged in proposal writing, project planning, technical report preparation and editing, social impact assessment and mitigation activities related to informal waste collectors, and nature-based solutions projects. Since July 2021, I have supported the Environmental Infrastructure Support Programme, Phase 2, implemented in Serbia and funded by SIDA and EU as senior social impact mitigation expert, and the Source Separation of Municipal Waste in Berat Municipality, implemented in Albania and funded by SIDA, as social impact expert. In 2021 I led the preparation of a report by regional experts on nature-based disaster risk reduction in the Western Balkans for the Japanese International Cooperation Agency. In 2022 I led a team of national experts in preparing a design for an NbS pilot project in Serbia for IUCN as part of the ADAPT project, and in 2023-24 I am leading a national team of experts in Albania to do the same.

The Center for Youth Integration (Centar integraciju mladih) provides specialised services to children in street situations and child migrants in Belgrade. My role encompassed proposal writing, reporting to donors, analysis, and evaluation of programmes delivering specialised support to highly vulnerable street-involved Roma children and youth and their families. I have developed dozens of successfully funded project’s addressing social inclusion, education and employment of vulnerable Roma children, youth and families, including CYI's innovative social enterprise "Cafe Bar 16" and youth employment programme. I conducted research and analysis to understand changing circumstances of the poorest Roma families living in informal settlements and evaluation of CYI’s programmes to enhance impact.

In 2016, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023 I proofread / edited the English language version of the Coalition 27 (Serbia) Shadow Report on Chapter 27 of EU acquis, supporting the authors to deliver a clear and authoritative report on the complex issues related to the EU environment and climate change acquis. Coalition 27 – Serbia is an alliance of CSOs in Serbia that monitors and reports on the transposition and implementation of Chapter 27 - Environment and Climate Change of the EU acquis in Serbia.

I was engaged to prepared a publication "Strengthening Vulnerable Families in Serbia", which demonstrated the case for de-institutionalization (supporting children to grow-up in the care of the families or similar care) and documented examples of best practices of psychosocial support for vulnerable families in Serbia. The task included desk research, interviews with child protection specialists, documenting 8 examples of good practice, and drafting the report. I was engaged as a consultant proposal writer to draft concept notes for projects and short policy papers in five of UNICEF’s programme areas in Serbia (child mortality, child marriage, education quality, inclusive education, and juvenile offenders). The tasks involved desk research in the issues, data analysis and packaging, theory of change, proposing measures and writing. UNICEF is a United Nations agency that advocates for the protection of children’s rights and expands opportunities so they can reach their full potential

In collaboration with the Federation of Jewish Communities in Serbia, I designed and led the documentation project “Portraits and Memories of the Jewish Community in Serbia before the Holocaust”, which, in cooperation with Jewish Communities in Serbia, preserved memory of Jewish Community in Serbia through building up a digital archive of over 6,000 pre-Holocaust era photographs and 325 testimonies of Holocaust survivors and their families. I conceived of and managed all aspects of the project from beginning to end, led a team of researchers, coordinated with Jewish Communities across Serbia, planned and managed outreach to over three hundred holocaust survivors and their families, and oversaw the production of an exhibition and education programme that engaged over four thousand school children. The project was supported by the EU, Ministry of Culture (RS), and Claims Conference.

I led a multiyear contemporary history project that documented the institutions of Serbian government in the 1990s. I designed research methodologies in coordination with experts (including former Serbian government officials, parliamentarians, journalists, academics and human rights activists) and international project advisors from the Netherlands and Germany, coordinated a 20-person research team, and managed book publication, exhibition production and conferences.

I provided development support to human rights activists in Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, to develop programmes and advocacy activities on issues relating to human rights, accountability/impunity, youth activism and civic engagement. I undertook research and analysis, proposal writing, and communication with and reporting to donors. YIHR is a network of non-governmental organisation engaged in cross-border and inter-ethnic human rights activism in the Western Balkans.I currently serve as a member of the Advisory Board of the YIHR Serbia.
