Currently providing safe, efficient and supportive respiratory ambulatory care for patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions such as sleep, COPD and Asthma.In conjunction with the medical team, to provide clinical support, advice and expertise to ensure that best practice is promoted and delivered in order to reduce the risk to patients.I organise blood tests, x-rays and other appropriate investigations. Interpret the investigation results and make appropriate plan of care for future treatment and management, liaising with the respiratory medical team and patient GPs as required.I support onward management of the patient through the most appropriate pathway and in discussion with the patient. Ensure appropriate referral to other members of the multidisciplinary team, including other consultant specialties and primary care.I am responsible and coordinate the care of respiratory patients ; primarily sleep apnoea, COPD and asthma, those needing oxygen, working closely with the Consultant team and the wider MDT. This will involve the assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment of these patients to an advanced level. Care and support will be provided for patients, carers and staff, both internally and in the local community services. This also includes prescribing within my scope of practice having obtained non-medical prescribing course.The postholder will support the MDT in promoting excellence in nursing care to maintain and improve respiratory clinical standards, providing strong and effective nurse leadership ensuring that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity and respect, placing value on the diversity of the community served.

Currently work bank shifts when not working off-shore.

•Providing medical care for the crew, assessing any personnel (up to 130) presenting to sick bay and treating accordingly. •Responsible for the upkeep and confidentiality of all medical records. •Daily testing of the water for Chlorine, Ph, density and gravity content•Conducting Health Checks•Upkeep of the COSHH system •Health Promotion •Safety Inductions for people new to the Rig •General Admin duties•Continual training for the on-board First AidersResponsible for ordering all the medication and medical equipment which is needed on board.

•Working as the sole medic providing medical care for a personnel of up 180. Assessing and treating personnel accordingly.•Responsible for the upkeep and confidentiality of all medical records. Also had the responsibility of weekly hygiene inspections, involved in the daily safety briefings.•Kept stock levels up of medicine, weekly inspections of eye wash, first aid and medical equipment on rig.•Daily testing of the water for Chlorine, Ph, density and gravity content•Conducting Health Checks•Upkeep of the COSHH system •Health Promotion •Safety Inductions for people new to the Rig •General Admin duties•Continual training for the on-board First Aiders.

•The Borgholm dolphin (Floatel), anchored next to the Andrew Rig in the North Sea. Working as one of two chief medical officers (CMO). Employed through Oil Field Medics•Providing medical care for the crew, assessing any personnel (up to 300) presenting to sick bay and treating accordingly. •Responsible for the upkeep and confidentiality of all medical records. We also assisted with the weekly hygiene inspection, were involved in the daily safety briefings and done weekly water inspections.•Continual training for the on-board First Aiders, health promotion and arranged health checks.•Responsible for ordering all the medication and medical equipment which was needed on board.
