James is one of the founding directors of Aqua Terra Consultants Ltd working on a multitude of projects including everything from transactional due diligence, strategic land development, planning associated with greenfield and brownfield sites through to construction support, and dilapidation and permit surrender surveys. Our focus is on renewable energy and infrastructure projects and we operate throughout the UK.With a background in Geotechnical Engineering and working with a team of technical specialists in contaminated land, waste, hydrology and hydrogeology I seek to understand the importance of soil/water interaction at local, regional and catchment scales.Sustainability has always been key in both my work and home environments from the little things such as choosing a pure renewable energy provider to spending much of my time in the great outdoors on foot, bike or canoe. I bring this ethos into my professional life advising clients on potential liabilities associated with investments, actively making an ethical choice not to work in the oil/ gas/ fracking arena and working on creating sustainable developments and communities.
