The role of director is a great job it entails overseeing security operations. Hiring new Officer's and removing officer's that are not a good fit. In charge of training officer's and creating a positive work environment Team based and designating post orders and upholding high standards that are in holding with the high standards of corporate security. Dealing with emergent situations and finding solutions to the day to day problems that arise. Protecting the assets of this company and all the employees on site, being on constant look out for those that want to cause harm to this facility. . Point person 24/7 for staff on all shifts needing direction. This is an amazing job!!!

Burlington, Vermont Area

- Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.- Periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.- Preserve order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors and premises.- Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.- Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons; inspect buildings, grounds and security devices; monitors and sets security devices.- Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.- Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.- Prepare and maintain logs and reports as required.

Vermont

- Ensure a safe environment for all Johnson State College students, faculty and staff.- Check identifications, to ensure safety and determine individuals have a legitimate reason to be on college property.- Issue parking tickets when necessary.- Prompt and accurate reporting of all suspected crimes.- Maintain patrols by vehicle, bicycle or foot; ensuring a presence at all times.- Addressing students in regards to intoxication, illegal substances and sexual assault.

Newport, Vermont

- Supervise correctional staff and inmates within the wing, block, work detail, transport unit or similar role assigned to the correctional facility- Enforce facility policies and procedures.- Evaluate both staff and inmate performance in relation to assigned duties and roles.- Enforce proper work procedures, habits and safety regulations.- Operated industry equipment and perform routine maintenance.- Report equipment repair needs to industry officials.- Maintain production, equipment maintenance and inventory records, plus inmate performance and work reports.- Periodical direct complete search of an inmate’s persons and belongings- Observe and report any unusual behavior including infractions of rules and regulations.- Counsel inmates in formal or informal situations.- Restrain inmates when necessary.- Set examples of appropriate officer conduct.- Evaluate trends in inmate’s behavior and performance.- Prepare written reports on inmates under personal supervision.- Investigate inmate grievances and participate in disciplinary hearings.- Member of L.E.R.T or "local emergency response team"
