Experience: I have been in Biotech since graduating college in 2000. My first position was with a company called Biovail Technologies, LTD. There I was a QA Associate and my responsibilites included review of documentation, line clearances, visual inspection of product, maintaining document files, and area audits. This was my position for 1 year.After leaving Biovail, I moved to San Diego, CA to pursue personal as well as professional goals. Since moving to San Diego in 2001, I began work in the QC department with IDEC Pharmaceuticals which later merged with Biogen to become Biogen-Idec. Then, in 2005, Biogen-Idec sold the facility in Oceanside, CA to Genentech and many employees became Genentech employees. Since starting with IDEC, way back in 2001, I have grown as a QC Analyst. I had begun testing Raw Materials and Chemistry assays. I now have multiple Biochemistry assays under my belt as well. Goals for the future would be to continue to learn more assays here at Genentech. There is much room to grow and much to learn at Genentech.Specialties: Kinetic Quantitative Chromogenic LAL analysis.
