I am an industrial designer with abundant experience developing consumer, medical, laboratory, industrial, and electronic products. I have strengthened and refined my capabilities through my role in the design and development of hundreds of products.My problem solving process goes beyond the obvious by questioning assumptions and exploring unexpected solutions. Throughout the process I remain mindful of technical criteria, executive team decisions, human factors, engineering and manufacturing requirements, while always advocating for the user.I am able to use loose sketching all the way through detailed and precise 3D rendering for visual communication of my ideas.A notable strength is my expertise in using sophisticated, rapid and flexible CAD geometry modeling techniques. I find this valuable for maintaining the design intent, minimizing compromises during engineering, and reducing the impact of significant late stage design changes. I am able to generate CAD from 2D concept sketches and take it all the way through to production ready engineering. SolidWorks is my preferred CAD software.I am savvy to low volume and high volume manufacturing with experience in R&D programs, prototyping in all common materials and methods, and the creation of appearance models.As a conscientious and dedicated designer, I am consistently committed to refining the details of every design without losing sight of the overall picture.
