I am currently working as Loughborough Students' Union's Democracy & Communities Executive Officer for 2024/25, a role which I was elected to in March of 2024. My role involves the overseeing of various student communities across the union, including Societies, Action and RAG. I work with full-time LSU staff members to ensure that students partaking in these activities and groups are properly represented and aided, both by directly liaising with students and staff as part of several committees, and working on more broad and overarching projects for the benefit of Loughborough students.I also engage in numerous different areas of student representation as part of my roles, including engaging with students as part of the LSUggestions system and Student Voice Committee, in order to accurately feedback the views and opinions of students at Loughborough University Council and on the Board of Trustees for the Students' Union. My responsibilities also include the promotion and overseeing of the LSU's Executive Officer Elections, ensuring that students are as engaged and informed as possible.Finally, a particular focus of mine is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Loughborough students at all times. Several of my responsibilities involve the promotion of these values, including overseeing and assessing disciplinary cases for both the Students' Union and University, as well as striving to improve aspects of student welfare at all times.

In 2023, I campaigned and was elected as Social Sec for Flix Cinema Society at Loughborough Students Union. Being very passionate about my society, I was eager to engage further as part of the committee, and decided to run for Social Sec as I enjoy the challenge of planning different activities and events.During my time in Flix Cinema committee, our society saw an extremely successful year with over 70 members engaging in a variety of events. As part of this, I was able to host several different trips, activities and events for our members, including several awards nights organised with external venues, regular film screenings in the Cope Auditorium, and different events taking advantage of local events such as the Loughborough Fair. This year, Flix Cinema Society was nominated for four different awards in the Society Awards, winning both Best in General Interest, as well as the prestigious Society of the Year Award.

I'm have worked part-time with a hospitality and catering agency that provides me with shifts when I return home from university. I have worked in a range of different locations such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Winter Gardens, Bloom Bar, Grosvenor Casino, Fleetwood Marine Hall and Blackpool Football Club. The shifts I have taken usually consist of bar work, waiting on, or night porter shifts at hotels. Working with Tower Employment Services has been extremely useful in developing my people skills, as I am often working with new and unfamiliar teams and in customer facing positions. I have also had to adapt to a range of different workplaces, whilst ensuring to provide an excellent service wherever I go.
