Chief Officer
2Nd Officer
During my career with Swire Pacific Offshore, I have worked on board modern, state of the art, offshore support, Wind Farm Jack-up and AHTS vessels operating worldwide, undertaking assignments for leading oil/energy firms including Scottish Power, Exxon, Mobil, BP, Shell, Petrobras, amongst others, in locations including South America (Guyana), West Africa, North Sea, Middle East and Asia. I have worked on several vessels including offshore tug/supply and AHTS vessels with different capabilities, ranging from supply and support for jack-up and offshore installations, to semi-submersibles rig support and rig towing. These ships have included:Pacific Leader/Legend, one of the largest DP2 PSV’s in the world, capable of carrying large volumes of wet and dry cargos with its state-of-the-art dry buck storage and fuel-efficient propulsion pods. Mainly involved in platform supply duties with various rigs/installations around the world. Pacific Orca, the largest six-legged jack-up wind farm installation vessel; I was involved in the Beatrice field project, which consisted of the installation of Siemens wind turbines. My primary roll onboard as the DPO, was bringing the vessel into the correct position, and maintaining the position until the vessel was safely jacked up out of the water. Pacific Discovery, we were involved in the largest rig Topside tow and installation ever attempted on pre-prepared supports. The ship assisted in a three-tug tow, transporting the topside of a rig by barge from South Korea to Sakhalin Russia. We left the tow three days before it's arrival in Russia to ensure the pre-laid anchors were able to hold a tension of 150 tons. When the barge arrived, we connected the barge to the twelve pre-laid anchors, requiring a great deal of planning, control and precision. Once the topside was in position, we disconnected the anchors and ensured rig stability. As
