NIH T32 Synthetic Biology & Biotechnology (SB2) TraineeNational Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Fellow As an SB2 and GRFP fellow, I am an interdisciplinary researcher with extensive experience in development of molecular and microfluidic assays, nanoparticle synthesis, and low-cost point-of-care diagnostics. Research interests include high-throughput screening devices, assay development, and molecular engineering to improve global health. I am passionate about using my unique studies in both music performance (saxophone) and engineering for creative problem solving.I believe that empowering youth through expanding access to educational resources is essential. I am passionate about developing industry networks to expand resources for marginalized students. I aim to provide resources and positively impact and advocate for youth, particularly foster youth, to make STEM careers more accessible for students from minoritized backgrounds. I believe it is imperative that we think of not only new, translatable technologies, but also of representation in the next generation of scientists.
