HyPerComp provides services in computational physics by implementing advanced physics-based and data-driven methods on high performance computers. We deal with a range of problems including radar technology and combustion devices for propulsion. We collaborate with Industry, Government, and Academia both developing and testing state of the art numerical tools for design and analysis. As a member of Technical staff I have had the privilege of working on projects including modeling combustion instability in conventional liquid rocket engines, and large-eddy simulations of rotating detonation engines.

AFRL Scholars program summer internship. Conducted high-fidelity CFD with LESLIE. Parallel simulations of explosive blasts were performed on HPC clusters, and the results were visualized with post-processing software.

This research project over the fall 2016 semester was to create the next N+4 concept aircraft. Groups at NASA developed concept aircraft that reduce emissions and noise of aircraft compared to 2005 standards. Our teams task was to think outside of the box and invent new technologies for aircraft able to achieve these figures. My role was conceptualizing a lighter than air take-off assist vehicle that was capable of lifting a typical modern aircraft and showing the energy savings.
