Managing a team to design, implement and manage primary analysis pipelines for the Malaria programme at the WTSI. The project has direct implications for public health and involves collaborations in malaria-endemic regions around the globe funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Gates Foundation.As well as handling the analysis and release of hundreds of terabytes of data, the team develops web applications for tracking and visualising data, and provides ad-hoc bioinformatics analysis and R&D support to the programme.

Built and led a team to develop and run production and analysis pipelines for high-throughput next-generation sequencing. This involved developing systems and pipelines for requesting, tracking, and analysing very large volumes of sequence data across multiple simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing and evolving field.My team was a major compute and sequencing hub for the 1000 Genomes Project, sequenced 17 mouse strains to high depth, and was the primary informatics team for the UK10K (10,000 genomes) project, for which I was Production Chair.
