Outside Plant Technician 5/2014 to currentInstall, repair, and troubleshoot telephone service. Cable splicing, wire cut sheets, cable cut-overs, and telephone pole transfers. Locate underground services with 3M Dynatel 2273 locator. Install, repair, troubleshoot, and loop qualifications for DSL service (using JDSU HST 3000 test set). Install, repair, and troubleshoot DSL modem connectivity along with training end users how they work with their computers and what to expect. Install, Splice, and repair Fiber Optic house services. Install and repair HPBX phones

Managed 4 employees. Oversight for all plant assignments and engineering records. Streamlined processes and acted as Liaison between Outside Plant Crews, Customer Service, Network Operations Center, and Engineering to ensure timely completion of Service Orders and Trouble Tickets. Provided Safety training to include but not limited to, First Aid/CPR, ladder safety, ladder inspections, fork truck safety, and fork truck inspections. Performed first visits to customer premise to Engineer, Draw, & Assign new services. Received all DigSafe requests for Southern Maine, verify in plant records whether we have buried services in those areas, and dispatch accordingly.
