Dealt with all financial aspects of all contracts undertaken for both Private and Government Clients. My involvement was both pre-contract and post contract on a range of projects at any one time, at all stages and in all aspects. Controlled and managed the estimating process working with & supervising Senior, Assistant & Trainee Estimators to secure both tendered and negotiated work including Client presentations, working with design & engineering consultants and value engineering.Responsible for all commercial & contractual duties post contract, supervising Graduate, Assistant, Project and Senior Surveyors. As part of the management team I worked very closely with the Project Team in the overall running of projects, from procurement through to any claims, agreeing Final Accounts with sub-contractors and Clients and the control and management of costs & resources.Participation with design management and procurement and management of consultancy appointments through the various phases of the construction process, giving an appreciation of the design processes involved to complete construction.Developed CVR and cash flow procedures in conjunction with the Financial Director and other interested parties, implementing these procedures with the commercial department, educating and provided training on the fundamental principles, use of and creation of these documents.Monthly financial reporting reviewing “hit rate”, number of projects tendered, total value of works tendered, etc. and cost and value reconciliation appraisals of multiple projects, along with cash flow. Analysis and processing of this information to produce monthly board reports which have then been further developed as required by the Board.
