About James Thomason
Hello! My name is James. I have been working in the Information Technology field for about two years now. If someone asked me what I’d be working in if i wasn’t in IT, my go to answer would be Marine Biology or working with the National Park Service. I currently live in Tucson, Arizona. I love the Saguaro National park on the east side of town, and am in love with Mt. Lemmon / Summerhaven (70 degree weather compared to 90 in town is a big reason) I have quite a few hobbies, ranging from rock climbing and backpacking to video games to learning languages! I love learning, with any leftover time I have, I spend it on engaging my hobbies.I am an aspiring cybersecurity professional. I have been making strides to getting my first role in the Cybersecurity field of IT. I consistently make sure that I am on track to achieve that first long term goal! Having said that, I have achieved my CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ within the past year. I am currently in the process of acquiring some more certifications such as the CySA+ and the CCNA (monstrous exam, will take a LOT of time) I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science and a minor in Computer Science.
