The role involves “end to end” management from a Supply Chain perspective.NPD A Supply Chain representative for all matters relating to NPD that the business is launching, either as part of a Range Review or as tactical launch. Providing final sign off for all NPD after ensuring all Supply Chain requirements have been met before placing initial orders. Responsible for ensuring NPD and stock for Range Extensions are delivered into DC’s in line with expectations and liaising with external suppliers and H&B Category teams to expedite as required. Overseeing the distribution to correct stores / channels for launch and then providing hyper-care from a sales and availability perspective across all NPD during its initial 12 weeks after launch. Creating reports on all NPD throughout various points in the NPD lifecycle and also participating in multiple scheduled meetings that pertain to NPD and Range Reviews.

The main purpose of the role was to raise orders and track progress from placement to delivery using & managing the Critical Path. To liaise with all interested parties (both internal & external) ensuring that all key dates are maintained and actioned where possible to enable on time delivery.Scope of the role included managing all product areas from receipt of orders to delivery of stock.

In addition to existing responsibilities acquired as a Trainee Merchandiser, organising handover meetings to issue sales orders to the factory in line with critical dates. Chair weekly critical path meetings with the UK and overseas teams to prioritise workload and provide M&S with regular updates. Obtain weekly sales figures to review performance against annual budgets with the Divisional Directors and Commercial Executives.

Agreeing production plans with the manufacturing units and working closely with members of the planning team to achieve customer flow requirements. Attending regular meetings with technical, design and fabric teams to prioritise workload and maintain critical dates. Liasing with M&S head office to negotiate and agree garment delivery. Monitoring stock levels across the department, providing monthly stock analysis and reports to forecast future stock levels. These would then be scrutinised by Commercial Managers and Divisional Directors.
