With my mechanical background (HVAC), I was given the opportunity to start the first MIP (Marijuana Infused Product) facility in Aurora. I was responsible for setting the lab up in a professional, efficient manner while learning everything from safe extractions to finishing grade A product, as well as compliance regulations with the new market. We quickly became one of the highest quality products available, which often won awards. With a nearly $1M annual budget for wholesale purchasing, most of my days would consist of walking growing facilities and seeking out quality wholesale candidates. Keeping up with growers, their techniques, and how they store their product were my main priorities. During this entire 5 year experience, I was also training newer employees on all of the new (and continuously changing) SOP's, Metrc, and Adilas systems.
