Assistant Poll Manager
CurrentTemporary position:Every election cycle ( for gubernational and primaries) I have worked as a form of poll manager or absentee ballot clerk.My duties include:*Supporting the needs of the poll manager.*Protecting private and sensitive information*Maintaining a smooth running election day*Providing alternative sources for electors to vote in case of an emergency.*Following the guidelines for ADA, CDC covid-19 restrictions, and federal/state government laws.*Keep the poll area neat and tidy*Make sure flags, signs, posters, and sample ballots were placed in their appropriate positions.*Making sure that all electors followed the poll rules such as: not wearing political affiliated clothing, abstinence of political speech while waiting to vote, and respecting the rights of others.*Assisting poll watchers with the federal guidelines of not prompting electors for personal voting information.*Supervising and rotating rolls for provisional and issuing clerks, poll officers, and other employees.*Providing customer service to electors.*Swearing in clerks and officers under federal Oath to protect voting information.*Making sure all votes are counted for by following the system to scan ballots and send electronic ballots.*Making sure that paperwork is completed correctly, and organized.*Making sure that timing is accounted for, and that there is security within the election Poll location.*Setting up the poll location as designated by county officials.*making sure all ballot information is given correctly*Assisting the poll manager with pick up and returns back to the election office on time.
