My career has been spent using technology to bring value to businesses.Sometimes I have directly developed technology to improve departments I have overseen, at other times I have been responsible for guiding various teams producing the technology and ensuring that business value is being delivered.I believe that businesses create value by attracting, discovering, and developing individuals with the necessary capabilities - and then giving them the responsibility and authority to execute and deliver that value. I've had the privilege of leading teams of hundreds of people with that philosophy, where our execution led to growth far outpacing industry norms.Competency in producing software is fast becoming a minimum requirement to operate in business, and an ability to produce excellent software is an incredible competitive advantage. Excellent software is stable, provides a great user experience, and is delivered with speed and agility by teams who intimately understand how to bring value to everyone using that software.
