Served as a school administrator in the role of 7th and 8th grade Dean. Responsible for providing corrective feedback and determining consequences for students and meeting with the Student Life Team regularly to shape school culture and policies. Also, in charge of designing and delivering monthly diversity workshops; planning and leading co-curricular programming such as overnight canoe and camping trips, ropes course and museum trips; collaborating with teachers on a regular basis to guide and support their efforts with students.

Worked as a Social Studies teacher and coach at the intermediate and high school level. Taught intermediate American History, World Geography, and Political Ideology of the 20th Century courses as well as high school Ancient History, Modern World History, and American History. Advised the Mock Trial team. Coached intermediate and high school football, basketball and baseball.

Taught American History and English as a Second Language classes to Royal Thai Scholars during the summer months. Prepared the Royal Thai scholars for success on the Internet Based TOEFL exam andhelped them with the cultural transition to boarding schools and colleges throughout the United States.

Taught reading, writing, and social studies to adults in an ABE and a GED course as they prepared for the GED exam. Assisted the job placement specialist in students’ job search. Communicated regularlywith program social worker.

Provided Math and Literacy support in the Open Choice Program’s Student Support Center. Assisted intermediate and high school students in obtaining reading comprehension, math, and study skills.

Ran the summer program office, which served as a the reception desk and communication center for faculty, parents and students participating in Oxbridge Academic Programs. Worked as a high school Social Studies teacher, dormitory head and coach at a boarding school. Taught a three-tiered curriculum for 10th grade European History. Utilized educational technology, as well as best practice techniques, such as cooperative instruction and direct teaching. Implemented adaptations for a wide range of students with various learning differences. Promoted character development and provided regular feedback to students, parents, and faculty advisors. Coached high school soccer and basketball and ran an intramural sports program.
