In this role, I aspire to transform the needs and interests of our student community into actionable initiatives, fostering meaningful and impactful experiences.Some of my key accomplishments include:• Collaborated with directors to help plan and direct the largest overnight SFU engineering welcome event for over 140 first-year engineering students.• Helped organize and coordinate a professional industry talk, providing exposure towards relevant fields and potential career opportunities for over 40 students within our faculty.• Volunteered with CAMP 5 to coordinate logistics for the 2024 Iron Ring Ceremony. -
Communications And Radio Frequency Team MemberSfu Satellite Design Jan 2023 - PresentBurnaby, British Columbia, CanadaIn this role, I am designing and building a SatNOGS satellite ground station for ALEASAT, a collaborative project between SFUSAT and UBC Orbit to design, build, and launch a 1U cube satellite.Some of my key accomplishments include:• Researched and compared various designs to determine the best fit for installation. • Determined mechanical considerations and constraints for the antenna system, ensuring that the ground station can be safely installed. • Currently in progress of building and testing the ground station! -
Wict 2024 Design Team - Mechanical Team LeadWomen In Clean Tech (Wict) Sfu Nov 2023 - Aug 2024Leading a team of 7 engineering students within the Utilities and Resources Team to participate in ASHRAE’s 2024 Setty Family Foundation Net Zero Energy Competition. Currently engaged in designing a sustainable, net-zero energy library to be located in São Paulo, Brazil.Some of my key accomplishments include:• Conducted load calculations to calculate the required airflow and exhaust rates for all the indoor spaces of the building; fully selected and designed the ventilation system for the building, ensuring all ventilation requirements, codes, and standards are well-met.• Contributed to the project’s 35-page technical report by fully completing the ventilation section; independently compiled, formatted, and edited all of the mechanical and utilities section, while also collaborating with other team leads to ensure and enhance coherence and accuracy of the architecture and electrical sections.• Created and authored documents such as meeting minutes, project syllabuses, Gantt charts, project guidelines, update presentations, and report outlines; organized and led weekly team meetings and monthly general meetings. -

Wict 2023 Design Team - Mechanical Team MemberWomen In Clean Tech (Wict) Sfu Jan 2023 - Sep 2023Surrey, British Columbia, CanadaIn this role, I participated in the ASHRAE’s 2023 Setty Foundation Net-Zero Energy Design Competition, creating an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Health Meter to detect contaminants in an indoor space. Some of my key accomplishments include:• Optimized designs to improve overall performance, as well as fully modelled, and rendered the finalized IAQ meter design in SolidWorks.• Produced all necessary multidimensional engineering drawings, up-to-scale working drawings, and bill of materials for the finalized composed model.• Documented the IAQ meter’s design and features on the blueprint and functionality sections in a 25-page technical report.
